About me:

My name is Connor Hicks, and I'm a concert photographer based in Lexington, South Carolina. Before I was behind the camera, I was just another fan standing in the crowd, completely immersed in the energy of live music. That perspective still drives my work today. Whether I'm photographing an intimate basement show or a packed amphitheater, my goal is to create images that make people feel like they're right there in the moment.

While I'm based in South Carolina, I'm always open to traveling for shows, tours, festivals, and other projects. If you're interested in working together or would like to discuss travel availability, I'd love to hear from you.

I've been photographing live music for about five years and am currently looking to expand into more touring, festival, and gig photography opportunities. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and capturing the energy, emotion, and connection between artists and their audiences is what I love most about this work.

Photography has been the main aspect of my life from an early age. My father is a photographer and graphic designer, so I grew up surrounded by cameras, creativity, and visual storytelling. Long before I owned my first professional camera, I knew I wanted a career in the music industry. At first, I thought that path would be through performing, since I've always loved being on stage, but after attending countless shows and experimenting with different instruments, I realized my passion was behind the lens instead.

I started photographing local shows in the Charlotte music scene, where I spent nearly every weekend forming connections and building my experience at a certain time in my life. Over time, I became more involved in the Columbia, South Carolina scene, but no matter the city or venue, one thing remains the same: the incredible energy that live music brings. From emerging local bands to established touring acts, every performance tells a story worth capturing.

Being able to document and share these moments is something I never take for granted. One of the most rewarding parts of this career is photographing artists early in their journey and watching where their passion and talent take them. Live music is more than just what I photograph—it's what inspires me every day.
